Tragic accident in Russia involving Uzbeks

9786In a tragic road accident early this morning, November 10, a vehicle carrying Uzbek nationals was involved in a collision in Russia's Penza region, as reported by Uzbekistan's Consulate General in Kazan.
The accident occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. on the 738th kilometer of the M-5 Ural federal highway. The crash involved a KamAZ truck and a Chevrolet Cobalt, resulting in three fatalities on the spot. Among the deceased, one has been confirmed as a citizen of Uzbekistan, while the nationalities of the other two victims are being verified. Additionally, two Uzbek citizens sustained injuries and were taken to the Kuznetsk Interdistrict Hospital for treatment.
The crash claimed the lives of the Cobalt driver, born in 1996, and two male passengers, aged 43 and 58. A 28-year-old female passenger and another male were hospitalized with various injuries.
Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Kazan, along with the Agency for Foreign Labor Migration, is actively coordinating with local authorities to manage the repatriation of the deceased and ensure proper medical care for the injured.
This incident follows a recent accident in Russia’s Tyumen region, where a 55-year-old Uzbek citizen lost his life and a 24-year-old truck driver was injured.
