19-year-old Uzbek worker dies at Russian construction site

13475Russian authorities are investigating the death of a 19-year-old Uzbek national at a construction site in the Vsevolozhsk district of the Leningrad region, as reported by Fontanka.
The incident occurred on the morning of November 2 on Tyulpanov Street, where the young bricklayer was working on the sixth floor of a building under construction.
"Emergency responders who arrived at the scene confirmed his death," reports indicate.
The young man had moved to Russia for work in February 2024 and was officially employed in the Leningrad region with a valid work permit.
This follows a recent fatal traffic accident in the Kalinin district of St. Petersburg involving Uzbek nationals, where one of the injured later succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
