Russian Prosecutor General visits Uzbekistan (video)

6766The Prosecutor General of Russia, Igor Krasnov, arrived in Tashkent on a practical visit. This was confirmed by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of Uzbekistan's General Prosecutor's Office.
The visit, at the invitation of Uzbekistan’s Prosecutor General, Nigmatilla Yoldoshev, focuses on strengthening bilateral cooperation. Discussions will address key topics such as citizen rights protection and enhancing mechanisms to combat crime.
Upon arrival, Krasnov was greeted by Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov and senior officials from Uzbekistan's General Prosecutor's Office.
Collaboration between the prosecutor's offices of the two countries began a decade ago with the signing of a cooperation agreement during the 12th meeting of SCO Prosecutor Generals in Tashkent. This partnership has since been reinforced through regular bilateral and multilateral meetings.
Notable milestones include:
- September 2021: A cooperation program for 2021-2023 was signed during Krasnov's visit to Tashkent.
- April 2024: A new document to strengthen inter-agency collaboration was approved in Moscow.
Earlier reports noted that Igor Krasnov had recently visited Pyongyang.
