Several TV channels have faced disciplinary actions for violating advertising regulations, according to a report by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

The Competition Committee had previously warned TV channels to ensure their advertising content adhered to existing legal standards. However, a surge in lengthy advertisements aired by some channels, coupled with complaints from the public, prompted further scrutiny.

The Committee, working with the Information and Mass Communications Agency, reviewed the ad volumes on these channels. An analysis revealed that three channels—"FTV", "Muloqot", and "Amudarya"—exceeded the legally allowed advertising limits between April and July this year.

As a result, the Special Commission of the Committee initiated formal proceedings against these channels. Instructions were issued to rectify the violations and ensure compliance with advertising regulations in the future.

Under Article 27 of the Law "On Advertising," TV advertisements, including infomercials, should not exceed 15% of the total broadcast time within an hour and a maximum of 20% in a single day. Additional investigations are ongoing to evaluate other TV channels' compliance with these standards.
