The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan on 26-27 January at the invitation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadir Japarov.  This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.

It is noted that the meetings of the leaders of the two countries will take place in Bishkek.

The agenda of the high-level talks included a wide range of issues of further strengthening of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Special attention will also be paid to increasing mutual trade, supporting industrial cooperation programs and promoting regional infrastructure projects.

It is noted that at the end of the summit, it is planned to adopt a significant set of bilateral documents.
It should be recalled that on 9 December 2022, the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the summit of the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union in Kyrgyzstan was cancelled.  Russian President Vladimir Putin also participated in this summit.  Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov went to Bishkek instead of Mirziyoyev.

Earlier, the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that it will hold a meeting of the business councils of the two countries in connection with the visit of President Mirziyoyev.
