Uzbekistan officially announces Ramadan to begin on March 1

6263In 2025, the holy month of Ramadan will officially begin on March 1, as stated in the Presidential Resolution "On the Worthy Celebration of the Blessed Month of Ramadan."
To ensure a dignified and meaningful observance of Ramadan, which has always symbolized love, gratitude, and tolerance for the people of Uzbekistan, several key measures have been outlined:
1. The Muslim Board of Uzbekistan has confirmed that Ramadan in 2025 will commence on March 1.
2. The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city governments, in collaboration with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the National Agency for Social Protection, the Association of Mahallas, the Nuroniy Foundation, and other partner organizations, will organize celebrations in accordance with national traditions and values.
3. Special emphasis will be placed on the theme of generosity, solidarity, and tolerance through initiatives such as:
- Supporting the needy and young people pursuing education;
- Strengthening family bonds, fostering trust and respect in communities;
- Promoting environmental conservation, beautification of holy sites, and responsible consumption during Ramadan-related events.
4The National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, the National Information Agenc, and other media outlets are encouraged to provide extensive coverage of Ramadan-related activities.
Oversight of the resolution’s implementation has been entrusted Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov andPresidential Advisor R.K. Davletov.
