The first day of the finals of the Taekwondo WT Grand Slam in Wuxi, China has ended. It is noteworthy that the national team of Uzbekistan won 1 gold medal. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

This medal was won by Ulugbek Rashidov, the champion of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, who competed in the -68 kg weight category. In the final, he beat Iran’s Daniyol Bazarghishab.

1.   Ulugbek Rashidov (Uzbekistan);
2.   Daniyol Bazarghishab (Iran);
3.   Reza Kalgor (Iran).

It should be noted that Rashidov won the prize at the “Dutch Open” international competition hosted by the city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands in March. Rashidov won a bronze medal in -74 kg, which was new for him.
