"White Wolves" keeper Abduvohid Nematov, who saved a penalty in the match between Uzbekistan and Spain at the Paris Olympics, shared his thoughts after the match.

"Unfortunately, we lost. We prepared well for this game. I am grateful to everyone who came from Uzbekistan and supported us. With the help of the fans, we played in a great atmosphere, but we were a little unlucky. We have two games ahead of us. By drawing the correct conclusions from the match with Spain, we will prepare for the next matches. I didn't know in advance how my opponent would shoot the penalty. Judging by the ball's trajectory, I was able to save the shot. I wanted to contribute to our team getting points, but I was not lucky. In the second goal, I couldn't see the ball because there were a lot of defenders," said Nematov.

The 23-year-old Abduvohid Nematov managed to save a penalty in the 60th minute of the match between Uzbekistan and Spain. However, the Spaniards still scored the second goal of the game shortly afterward and eventually won.

Let’s also remind you that earlier, the captain of the Olympic team of Uzbekistan, Eldor Shomurodov, reacted to the team's defeat.
