People who hoped to sell radioactive devices for 1 million dollars were caught

Persons selling radioactive and toxic devices were arrested in Samarkand region.  The State Security Service of Samarkand region informed KALAMPIR.UZ about this.

It is noted that a previously convicted citizen born in Andijan region planned to create a criminal group and earn a lot of money in collusion with his compatriot and a person from Samarkand.

It was found that the citizen of Andijan brought radioactive and toxic devices allegedly used for military purposes to the city of Samarkand from an acquaintance in Andijan region at the suggestion of his previously convicted criminal partner.  He lived in one of the hotels here until a reliable buyer was found.

Later, through an acquaintance in Samarkand, the previously convicted citizen agreed to sell these devices to a local citizen for a total of 1 million US dollars and demanded 200,000 US dollars in advance.  They were caught with physical evidence when they were selling an improvised device containing 1 kg of the chemical “Mercury” to a local citizen for 200,000 US dollars.

“Currently, it is planned to initiate a criminal case against these persons under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigation efforts are being carried out until the investigation,” said the message of the State Security Service of the region.
