Rahman and Raisi visit Tashkent



President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahman, and President of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, plan to participate in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit in the capital of Uzbekistan after a bilateral meeting in Dushanbe. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.

It is noted that Raisi's visit to the capital of Tajikistan will begin one day later than planned - on November 8.

"The visit of the President of Iran to Dushanbe will take place on November 8-9. They [the Presidents of Tajikistan and Iran] will fly from here to Tashkent on the morning of November 9," said Abdufattah Sharifzada, the head of the press service of the President of Tajikistan.

For information, the sixteenth summit of the ECO will be held in Tashkent on November 8-9. According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the participants of the event will consider issues related to expanding trade, economic, investment, transport, communication, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as improving the activities of this interstate organization established in 1985. The ECO includes Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. Its permanent secretariat is headquartered in Tehran.

We would like to remind you that it was previously announced that some streets of Tashkent will be restricted from November 8 to November 10 to ensure the high-level execution of the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
