Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Tajikistan on October 9 this year, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin announced.

’’Our presidents have laid the foundation for bilateral cooperation, demonstrating through their personal example how friendship has been preserved and should continue to be preserved in today’s difficult world. On October 9 this year, the President of the Russian Federation will pay a state visit to the Republic of Tajikistan’’, the senior diplomat said at a reception hosted by the Tajik Embassy on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

Pankin expressed confidence that Putin’s visit would give a new, powerful impetus to the development of multilateral relations and create opportunities to explore new vectors in bilateral cooperation.

It should be noted that in October, Dushanbe is scheduled to host the ’’Central Asia–Russia’’ summit and the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council. On August 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, during which preparations for these events were also discussed.

It is worth noting that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated in his address to the nation on September 8 that he would pay visits to Russia and Uzbekistan by the end of this year.
