Russian President Vladimir Putin will make a state visit to Kyrgyzstan next week, during which he is scheduled to attend the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit in Bishkek, among other events. This was reported on the “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” program on the Russia-1 TV channel.

The Russian leader is also planning other international engagements, including phone conversations. His schedule for next week includes a meeting with participants of the 5th Congress of Young Scientists, taking place from November 26 to 28.

The CSTO summit will be held on November 27. The agenda includes regional stability, coordination of security agencies, and new approaches to countering terrorist and extremist threats. Participants will review the organization’s activities over the past year and assess both international and regional developments.

The main outcome document of the meeting will be the Collective Security Council declaration, which will outline agreements to strengthen peace and stability, as well as assess existing threats within the CSTO’s area of responsibility.

Putin last visited Kyrgyzstan in October 2023, attending the CIS Heads of State Council meeting and holding talks with the country’s President, Sadyr Japarov.
