Pulat Bobojonov appointed Deputy Advisor to the President on personnel

On July 30, Pulat Razzaqovich Bobojonov was appointed Deputy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Personnel. The news was announced by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.

In connection with this appointment, Bobojonov was relieved of his previous role as First Deputy Advisor to the President on Personnel Policy.

Pulat Bobojonov was born on January 1, 1961, in the Khorezm region. He graduated from Tashkent State University in 1982 and began his career in the prosecutor’s office in Khorezm.

From 1992 to 1999, he served as First Deputy Khokim of Bogat district and later as Deputy Khokim of Khorezm region. In 1999, he was appointed to the Presidential Administration.

Between 2000 and 2011, Bobojonov held senior roles in the prosecution system, including Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan, Head of a Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, and Prosecutor of both Jizzakh and Bukhara regions.

In 2011, he was appointed First Deputy Governor of Khorezm region and became Governor of the region in 2012.

On September 4, 2017, he was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs by presidential decree. He was awarded the rank of Lieutenant General on September 12, 2019.

As a reminder, it was reported on March 3 this year that Bobojonov had been dismissed from his position as Minister of Internal Affairs, a role he had held since 2017. Following his dismissal, he began serving as Deputy Advisor to the President on Personnel Policy.
