President Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful conduct of the referendum

Today 6 June, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

It is noted that President Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated Tokayev on the successful holding of an important political event - a nationwide referendum on amendments to the constitution.

“The parties discussed the issues of further strengthening of strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, exchanged views on the regional agenda”, - the press service under the president’s administration reports.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, first, to the promotion of bilateral projects on trade and economy, investment, transport and communication, science and education, culture, and humanitarian cooperation.

In addition, the regional cooperation, and the prospects of close and effective dialogue within international organizations were discussed.
