President’s decision: Gasoline prices will not be increased

As we previously reported, “Uzbekneftgaz” gave information about an increase in the price of gasoline in Uzbekistan from 1 March. By the decision of the President, the price of gasoline will remain at its previous price until 31 December of this year. Sherzod Asadov, press secretary of the President, reported on this.
The point is that the zero-rate excise duty for AI-80 gasoline, introduced by the President’s decision and effective from 10 December 2022, was supposed to expire tomorrow, 1 March 2023.
In accordance with the decision signed today by the head of state, the AI-80 gasoline product is imported, produced by local enterprises and sold to final consumers by business entities in order to meet the demand of consumers for petroleum products and ensure price stability. The period of application of excise tax at “zero” rate has been extended until 31 December 2023.
