The President defined the rights of the Prime Minister

According to the decree “On measures to implement administrative reforms of the new Uzbekistan” signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday, 23 December the Prime Minister is given the following rights:

• making changes to the executive structure of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat within the framework of the total number of staff, taking into account the importance of regulating issues and solving priority tasks;

• to study the current directions of the economy and the social sphere and to develop proposals for them, as well as to organize working groups and agreement commissions to eliminate the disagreements that have arisen;

• Determining the amount of funds for additional incentives for exemplary management staff of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat based on performance.

The Cabinet of Ministers (A.N. Aripov) within one month:

• Approving the functional duties of deputy prime ministers;

• Approval of the staff table of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat;

• Development of a regulation on the Secretariat of the Prime Minister, which defines in detail the functions, powers, rights, obligations and responsibilities of all its departments;

• Approving the regulations on the newly established structural divisions of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat;

• should take measures to appoint the employees of the structural divisions whose activities are being terminated to leading and responsible positions in the ministry, office and other organizations and, if necessary, should make a proposal.

It should be noted that with this decree only 4 Deputy Prime Ministers will be left in the government, from the previous 8 positions including the Deputy Prime Ministers and 3 Advisors to the Prime Minister.
