The president reprimands two state office-bearers. Three officials are warned

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev reprimanded two officials and three have been given a warning. The press secretary of the President’s administration, Sherzod Asadov, reported this.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video-conference on measures to develop industrial cooperation and localization of production.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President said that it was time to demand the clear implementation of the adopted program of launching 2,500 new production projects worth 37 trillion soms for 2022-2023.

On the execution of these programs, the Pharmaceutical Agency did not implement the plan by 51%, Uzbekistan railways – by 10%, while industry cooperation did not start the projects and “Thermal power plants" accomplished tasks by only 26%.

That is why Sardor Kariev, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, has been reprimanded. His two deputies have been dismissed.
The Prime Minister had been instructed to take concrete steps to radically change the Agency’s activities.

The reprimand has been given to Acting Chairman of “Uzbekistan Railways” Khusniddin Khosilov, Chairman of the Board of “Thermal power plants” Farkhod Abdurakhmanov, Director of “Uzmetkombinat” Rashid Pirmatov, First Deputy Chairman of “Uzbekneftgaz” Shahzod Alirizayev has been given a stern warning.
The President also criticized the fact that in January-February, through the portal «Electronic Cooperation» 5,000 contracts in the amount of 860 billion sums were concluded, but not implemented in some regions, and the share of e-commerce enterprises in Karakalpakstan, Namangan, Surkhandarya and Khorezm was less than 1%.
