The list of diseases that obstruct the issuance of a driver's license is approved

A list of diseases that impedes the issuance of driving licenses will be approved in Uzbekistan.  The list of these diseases is reflected in the new draft law «On the organization of traffic», which regulates the matters with the organization of traffic. Rasul Kusherbayev, the MP of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament), stated this.

According to the MP, the draft law defines the followings the basic principles of road traffic:
- priority to the interests of citizens;

- systematization of traffic management activities and measures;

- priority of ecology and environmental protection;

- creation of conditions for walking and cycling;

- informing the public in a timely and open manner.
It was noted that the draft law also provides for amendments and additions to the Law “On Road traffic safety, including:

- A list of diseases that obstruct the gaining of a driving license;

- A list of diseases that prevents the drivers from driving a car after obtaining a driver’s license.
“As you can see, driving is no longer optional. Responsibility will increase tenfold. Of course, increasing responsibility should go hand in hand, not only with drivers, but also with the officers of law enforcement departments”, – Rasul Kusherbayev said .
