An audio recording featuring Dilfuza Orolova, the mayor of the Boyovut district in the Syrdarya region, has sparked widespread outrage on social media.

In the recording, Orolova can be heard using harsh language and insults directed at a local farmer, Shuhrat Hajiyev, who heads the farm "Abdumandat ota farzandlari."

Reports indicate that during a meeting with farmers in a field on October 25, Orolova used physical force against Hajiyev, who had been engaged in planting grain instead of cotton, which she criticized.

In the confrontation, Orolova reportedly cursed Hajiyev's deceased father and slapped him, leaving the farmer visibly upset and pleading with her not to insult his family.

QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to the Syrdarya regional administration for clarification on the incident. They confirmed that the authenticity of the audio is under review, and the incident was discussed critically at the Ethics Commission meeting.

The commission deemed Orolova's actions a breach of ethical standards expected from civil servants. Following the meeting, a recommendation was made to the regional governor for appropriate disciplinary actions against Orolova.

This incident echoes a previous case where Fayzulla Yusupov, the mayor of the Chirakchi district in the Kashkadarya region, was also involved in an assault against a citizen.
