The chances of the Uzbekistan national team participating in the 2026 World Cup have increased to 75.9%. This was reported by the "We Global Football" portal.
According to the source, following their victory over Kyrgyzstan, the chances of Srechko Katanets' team qualifying for the World Cup rose from 70.3% to 75.9%. Iran remains the leading favorite in Group A, with a 96% chance of reaching the World Cup in the U.S. and Mexico.
Iran narrowly defeated the UAE 1-0 in the second round of World Cup qualifiers and won against Kyrgyzstan 1-0 at home in the first round.
For information, Uzbekistan and Iran will face each other in the third round of the World Cup qualifiers. The match is scheduled to be held on October 10 in Tashkent.
