A video showing a teacher using force against a five-year-old child at a private kindergarten in Tashkent’s Olmazor district sparked widespread discussion on social media. The teacher has been fined 1.26 million soums, according to the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs.

Officials visited the scene and reviewed CCTV footage. The recordings showed a teacher named Elena using physical force against a minor. The collected materials were submitted to the Olmazor District Criminal Court.

According to the court’s ruling, she was found guilty under Article 52, Part 2 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (infliction of minor bodily injury) and fined three times the base calculation amount, totalling 1.26 million soums.

The child’s parents said their child requires medical treatment, including electrophoresis, massage and psychological counselling. They added that they contacted the прокуратура immediately after the incident.

Specialists emphasised that kindergartens should be places of care and protection for children, and that physical punishment can never be a method of upbringing. In this regard, preschool institutions were advised to pay special attention to staff qualifications and responsibility when hiring employees.

Earlier, a kindergarten worker in the Tashkent Region had beaten a young child.
