The roof collapsed on workers at the 3rd copper beneficiation factory of the AMMC

The editors of QALAMPIR.UZ received a report that the roof collapsed on workers at the 3rd copper beneficiation factory of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC), resulting in several fatalities. To gather more information, a journalist from QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to the information obtained by the publication, the collapse of the roof occurred during the construction of the 3rd copper enrichment factory (MOF-3) at AMMC. It is reported that the majority of workers involved in this construction are from India, with four fatalities and approximately twenty workers sustaining serious injuries.

According to Hayat Shamsutdinov, based on preliminary information, three workers have been confirmed dead.

Currently, an investigation team is conducting inquiries at the site.
