A new deputy chairman of the Supreme Court was appointed

Shuhrat Polvanov was elected to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Chairman of the Judicial Panel on Economic Affairs for five years. This was discussed today, 19 November, at the 35th plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

Before that, he was the deputy chairman of the Committee on Combating Corruption and Judicial Affairs of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

For information, Shuhrat Toghaymurodovich Polvanov was born on 11 December 1977, in the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region.  In 2002, he graduated from the Tashkent State Law Institute.  The 44-year-old lawyer is a member of the "Adolat" Social Democratic Party.

During 2015-2020, he worked as a member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Nurabad electoral district.

It should be noted that since 2017, the term of office of Bakhtiyor Isakov, who has been working as the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the chairman of the judicial panel on economic affairs, ended in October of this year.  After that, the former deputy chairman of the Supreme Court was appointed to the position of economic affairs judge of the Syrdarya regional court.
