Olaf Scholz arrives in Uzbekistan

Today, September 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Uzbekistan for an official visit, as reported by UzA.
Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, and other officials greeted Chancellor Scholz at Samarkand airport.
The visit will focus on further strengthening bilateral relations, with discussions anticipated to cover economic, political, and other issues.
For context, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Olaf Scholz during his visit to Germany in May 2023. Additionally, the first summit of Central Asian leaders and Germany was held in Berlin in September 2023, chaired by Scholz.
