Diyorbek Ermatov from Uzbekistan won two medals at the Asian Championship in weightlifting among teenagers and youth, which is being held in Tashkent. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee.

Diyorbek Ermatov from Namangan, who participated in the 73kg weight category among teenagers, won a gold medal in the snatch with 137kg. Unfortunately, the 150kg he recorded in the clean and jerk was not enough for medals in this exercise. However, Ermatov took third place in two competitions with 287kg.

For reference, during the day Jamila Panfilova (-55 kg), Khusinboy Matrasulov, Akhliddin Hasanov, and Bobur Umidov (all -67 kg) will compete for medals in their age categories.
