5 Uzbek athletes rose to the podium at the Asian Weightlifting Championship held yesterday, 24 July in Tashkent.

They all were victorious in the competition. Nigora Suvonova won a total of 6 gold medals in the weight category up to 81kg in both the junior and youth categories, including all types.

Nurbol Abdurashidov won 3 silver medals in the weight category +102kg. Nurbol was able to lift 316kg (145+171) on the results of two fights.

Khushnoza Khalikova, who took part in the Asian Championship in the weight category +81kg, became a winner in all disciplines and won 3 bronze medals.

In addition, Sharofiddin Amriddinov won 3 gold medals and Kudratbek Salimjonov won 2 bronze medals in the weight category up to 102kg. In addition, Kudratbek Salimjonov, who participated in the junior competitions, achieved 3 silver medals.
