Erkin Muhiddinov, the governor of Ohangaron district in the Tashkent region, has been relieved of his duties following his reassignment to a new position. This announcement was made today, May 20, during an extraordinary session of the Ohangaron District Council.

The governor of Tashkent region, Senator Zoyir Mirzayev, delivered a critical and analytical speech highlighting the systemic issues, existing shortcomings, as well as the high potential and promising projects in the region.

The dedicated efforts of the "Mahalla yettiligi," with their enthusiasm and self-sacrifice, help mitigate many problems. "Unfortunately, Ohangaron has significant weaknesses in this regard," stated Zoyir Mirzayev.

According to the press service of the provincial governor's office, Erkin Muhiddinov has been appointed the first deputy governor of the Tashkent region.

For reference, Erkin Muhiddinov was born in 1976 in Andijan. He graduated from the Andijan Institute of Economic Management in 1997, the Academy of Banking and Finance in 2000, and the Higher School of the Institute of Developing Economies (IDEAS-JETRO, Japan) in 2007. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Poverty Reduction and Employment and has been managing the Ohangaron district since August 2023.
