Fergana’s “Neftchi” team clinched the 2025 Uzbekistan Super League title ahead of schedule. Under the leadership of Vitaliy Levchenko, the team secured the championship with one round to spare after defeating “Qizilqum,” ending a 24-year wait for the national title.

On November 22, during the decisive 29th round of the Super League, “Neftchi” beat Navoi’s “Qizilqum” 4-1 at home.

From the opening minutes, “Neftchi” displayed an attacking style, opening the scoring in the 3rd minute. Alisher Odilov capitalized on a penalty-box opportunity to give his team the lead. In the 19th minute, Odilov scored again, completing a double and making it 2-0.

In the second half, the visitors attempted to reduce the deficit, and in the 60th minute, Shahruz Norhonov scored to make it 2-1. However, in the 68th minute, Jamshid Iskanderov restored “Neftchi’s” two-goal advantage. The final goal came in the 89th minute from Ibrohimhalil Yoldoshev. Despite continued pressure from “Neftchi” in the remaining minutes, the score remained 4-1.

With 64 points, “Neftchi” secured first place in the league table ahead of schedule. Tashkent’s “Pakhtakor” sits second with 59 points, and Qarshi’s “Nasaf” is third with 58 points. The battle for the remaining medals continues among “Pakhtakor,” “Nasaf,” and Samarkand’s “Dinamo.”

For context, “Neftchi” previously won the Uzbekistan championship in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 2001.
