11263Previously, the media reported an event at Navoi's 2nd general education school where students underwent a public haircutting session. The head of the regional Department of Preschool and School Education and Children's Ombudsman expressed condemnation and concern.
According to reports, at the direction of the school's director, Nurqobil Yusupov, a barber was brought to the school, where boys from various classes gathered in the gymnasium for haircuts. Allegedly, National Guard officers oversaw the proceedings.
"The school administration's actions are completely unacceptable. They violate the etiquette norms of secondary education institutions and infringe upon the child's right to privacy and dignity, as guaranteed by the Constitution. Those responsible must face appropriate consequences," stated the children's ombudsman.
Efforts are underway to prevent similar incidents in other educational institutions.
