A receipt worth 2 billion soums issued for two peppers in Navoi

In the Navoi region, due to a cashier’s mistake, the price of two peppers was entered into the payment system as 2 billion soums. The Ministry of Justice reported the incident.
According to the ministry, instead of issuing a receipt for 20,000 soums for the peppers purchased, the cashier mistakenly printed a receipt for 2 billion soums.
As a result, a large tax liability was generated. Although the entrepreneur requested the tax authorities to cancel the erroneous receipt, the Tax Administration stated that receipt data could not be edited.
The entrepreneur then filed a complaint with the Navoi Interdistrict Administrative Court against the regional Tax Administration. The court ruled that the actions of the tax officials were unlawful and issued a decision fully in favor of the entrepreneur.
