In Navoi, the governor reinstated the official who embezzled more than 1 billion sums

In 2021, the mayor of Navoi returned Yusuf Tursunov, the former head of the Development Department, who looted 1 billion 53 million sums of budget funds, to his post.
This was stated in the decision of the mayor Murodkhan Egamkulov signed on June 21, 2023.
Pursuant to the judgment of Navoi city court on March 4, 2021, Tursunov was deprived of the right to work in official and material responsibility cases for 1 year and 6 months, using the article 167, part 3, paragraph “a” of the Criminal Code and a number of other articles.
He was also sentenced to 2 years and 7 months of correctional labor, with 10% of his monthly salary deducted from the state income.
Now Yusuf Tursunov was reappointed to the position of the head of the City Development Department by the decision of Navoi Mayor Murodkhan Egamkulov on June 21, 2023.
