The former deputy of the governor of Navoi was caught with a bribe

The former deputy mayor of Navoi city was arrested when he received nearly 20 million soms in exchange for employing a citizen.  This was announced by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.

In a quick event held by the Karmana district department in cooperation with the employees of the Department of Internal Affairs, citizen Z.Sh. was caught when he received 20 million soms in exchange for hiring Z.Sh. into the system of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Also, T.A., who worked as the deputy mayor of Navoi until July of this year, was at the event, which continued according to the instructions of Z.Sh.  The physical evidence from the time when the citizen introduced himself to Sh. as the deputy governor, included the service certificate he had kept.  He received 19.6 million soms in exchange for employing him in the Ministry of Emergency Situations system.

In connection with this situation, criminal cases have been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are being conducted.
