Former Portugal international and 2016 European Championship winner Luís Nani is set to join Kazakhstan’s Aktobe football club. This was reported by Qazinform.
According to reports, the 2016 European champion has agreed to all the terms of his contract with Aktobe and is expected to join the team’s training sessions in the near future. A one-year contract has reportedly been signed. Nani’s salary at Aktobe has not been disclosed, but media reports claim it will be the highest wage in the history of the domestic Premier League.
It is reported that Nani will arrive in Almaty on January 22 this year, after which he will travel to Aktobe, where an official presentation ceremony will be held.
For reference, during his career Nani won the English Premier League four times with Manchester United, the League Cup twice, the FA Community Shield four times, the UEFA Champions League once, and the FIFA Club World Cup once. He has also played for Sporting, Fenerbahçe, Valencia, Lazio, Orlando City, Venezia, Melbourne Victory, Adana Demirspor, and Estrela.
