9135A tragic traffic accident occurred on October 2 in the Namangan region, involving a Gentra car driven by school and technical school students and a truck, according to the Regional Traffic Safety Department.
The accident took place at 11:00 a.m. on Margilan Street in the city of Namangan. A minor was driving the Gentra, which had been rented by five students. The driver lost control, crossed the concrete barrier dividing the road, and collided with a "ZIL" truck traveling in the opposite direction. As a result, the injured passengers in the Gentra were rushed to the resuscitation department of the Namangan branch of the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center.
Unfortunately, the driver succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital. The remaining four victims—three 17-year-olds and one 15-year-old—are currently in intensive care.
It is worth noting that a similar fatal accident recently occurred in the Samarkand region, where three people lost their lives. On the 5th kilometer of the "Urgut-G's-Avazmergan" highway near the "Khojaguzar" neighborhood in Urgut district, a driver born in 2003 lost control of his Cobalt car and collided head-on with a Damas car driven by a man born in 1991.
