In social networks, reports have spread that a teacher in the Yangikurgan district of the Namangan region sexually abused a minor, 6th grade student. The regional Department of Preschool and School Education has issued an official statement on the incident.

It is reported that on March 28, a citizen living in Yangikurgan district filed an appeal with the district internal affairs bodies regarding illegal actions committed against his minor child, who was studying at secondary school No. 8.

A criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code (unnatural satisfaction of sexual needs by force), the suspect was detained in a procedural manner, and a preventive measure of arrest was applied to him.

“Currently, a comprehensive, complete and impartial investigation into this case is underway. Additional information will be published in due course,” the report says.

It is worth noting that earlier in October last year, it was reported that a 31-year-old convict serving his sentence in a penal colony in the Ahangaran district of the Tashkent region had escaped and raped a 3rd grade girl.
