50 drivers penalized for participating in wedding procession in Namangan

In Namangan region, 50 drivers who took part in a wedding procession and committed serious traffic violations were fined, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to the statement, the individuals were found performing drifting maneuvers, driving into oncoming lanes, endangering both vehicles and pedestrians, and recording these actions on video to post on social media.
The court ruled that 25 of them, who committed road disturbances and grossly violated traffic rules, will be banned from driving for one year and fined 25 times the base calculation amount.
The remaining 25 individuals were fined 5 times the base amount, totaling 2,060,000 UZS.
It is worth noting that earlier, in Fergana region, 14 groomsmen who violated traffic rules while organizing a wedding procession were given administrative detention.
