2764Reports have surfaced on social media about a family kindergarten teacher in Pop district, Namangan region, who allegedly burned the foot of a 1.5-year-old child and left the child unattended for 3-4 hours without providing first aid. The Children’s Ombudsman has provided details on the incident.
On April 23, a woman identified as R.M., born in 1994, temporarily entrusted her 1.5-year-old daughter (born in November 2023) to S.S. for care. When R.M. returned to pick up her child, she discovered that the child’s foot had been burned.
The mother took her daughter to a doctor, where it was revealed that no immediate medical assistance had been provided at the time of the burn. This led to a dispute between the mother and S.S.
Currently, a pre-investigation inquiry is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Previously, in Almalik city, Tashkent region, a woman was sentenced to two years in prison for burning the hands and toes of her 8-year-old child as punishment for eating sweets without permission.
