A citizen in Namangan has been sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison for injuring a Compulsory Enforcement Bureau(CEB) employee. This information was provided by Aziz Obidov, the Supreme Court's press secretary.

The incident occurred when state enforcement officers from the Chust district branch of the CEB visited the home of citizen J.N. to collect a debt of 42.1 million soums owed to another individual. Instead of complying, the debtor resisted, verbally assaulted the officials, and injured two of them, one in the face and the other in the chest.

As a result, the offender was sentenced to 3 years and 7 months in prison under Part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to resisting an authority representative or a person performing civic duties.

It is worth noting that a similar incident was reported earlier in Bukhara, where a debtor assaulted a CEB officer and set the officer's car on fire.
