Teenagers in Uzbekistan involved in serious traffic accident

On April 2, an accident involving school students occurred in the Davlatobod district the Namangan region. Students driving a rented Nexia-3 collided with a truck, according to the regional Road Traffic Safety Department.

The incident happened around 5:10 PM in the Porloq neighborhood, Islom Karimov Street. Ninth-grade students from school No. 2 in Yangi Namangan district were driving a Nexia-3 without a driver’s license. They lost control of the vehicle and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with a SHACMAN truck.

As reported, the Nexia-3 driver and his front-seat classmate sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized. Investigations revealed that the car was rented from an eleventh-grade student, who lent it to the ninth-grade students for two hours in exchange for 220,000 UZS.

Previously, in the Jomboy district, Samarkand region, a school student lost control of a Lacetti vehicle, crashed into a tree, and tragically passed away.
