Mother and sister die in canal accident as teen drives without license (video)

10932A tragic accident occurred in the Namangan region when a 16-year-old girl, driving without a license, lost control of a Spark vehicle, causing it to plunge into a canal. The crash resulted in the deaths of her mother and 10-year-old sister, while the girl and her father, who allowed her to drive, were hospitalized. This was reported by the Namangan Regional Traffic Safety Department.
On March 23, 2025, a resident of Uchqorgon district handed over the control of his Spark car to his underage daughter, who lacked driving experience. The father sat in the front passenger seat, while the mother and younger sister were seated in the back. While navigating an internal road, the inexperienced driver lost control of the vehicle at a dangerous curve, causing it to veer off the road and into the Andijan canal.
The mother and younger sister tragically drowned due to water entering their airways. The teenage driver and her father sustained injuries and were admitted to the hospital.
Earlier, in the Davlatabad district of Namangan, a Nexia-3 driven by school students collided with a truck. The Nexia-3 driver and a classmate in the front seat suffered severe injuries and were hospitalized. Investigations revealed that an 11th-grade student had rented the car to 9th-grade students for two hours in exchange for 220,000 UZS.
