A total of 16,832 internal affairs personnel will be deployed across the Republic to ensure security during the Independence Day events, which will run from August 23 to August 31 this year. This was announced on August 27 during a briefing held at AOKA, attended by Muzifa Sultonova, the head of the Information Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It was noted that in celebration of the 33rd anniversary of independence, festive events are planned to be held in 213 locations across the Republic.

To maintain public order and ensure security during these events, 16,832 internal affairs personnel, 4,677 National Guard members, 1,943 employees, and military personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and 7,244 public representatives will be involved.

A total of 3,037 metal detectors, 1,587 vehicles, 7,881 communication devices, and 267 service dogs have been allocated to the personnel for use during these operations.

Currently, law enforcement agencies, along with state authorities, are implementing measures on the ground. These include:

The establishment of the Coordination and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and special operative staff.

The installation of 2,107 video surveillance cameras at facilities hosting holiday events, 452 of which are integrated with regional internal affairs bodies, enabling online monitoring.

The allocation of 440 vehicles to transport citizens to the event locations.

The deployment of 1,964 Road Patrol officers to ensure road traffic safety around event sites and regulate vehicle movement.

Additionally, 396 parking lots have been established 150 meters away from the festive event locations.

To prevent the direct entry of vehicles, iron fences, concrete barriers, and tarpaulins will be installed at the sites of festive events and folk fairs.

In necessary cases, detours will be organized due to traffic restrictions on certain streets and roads. Only service vehicles will be permitted to enter these restricted areas.
