Property taxes are on the rise in Uzbekistan starting January 1, 2024, as reported by UzA. The minimum value set for 1 square meter is being indexed to determine the tax base, maintaining the basic rate of property tax at 1.5 percent for legal entities.

For Tashkent city, the amount is increasing to 3 million soums (previously 2.5 million soums), for Nukus and regional centers to 2 million soums (previously 1.5 million soums), and for other cities and rural areas to 1.2 million soums (previously set at 1 million soums in practice).

It's worth noting that in June of this year, the President decided to waive fines calculated for property tax and land tax owed by individuals in Uzbekistan.
