Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with the US Assistant Secretary of State

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Communications and Information Policy Department under the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, met with US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu. She announced this on his Telegram channel.

It is noted that, at this meeting, the many years of mutual efforts accumulated between Uzbekistan and the USA in the field of education, the reforms currently taking place in Uzbekistan in this field, and the issues of future cooperation were discussed.

"As a representative of the Presidential Administration coordinating the development and implementation of the Education Strategy, I noted that the development of critical thinking in children and young people is a priority for me," Mirziyoyeva says.

Also, during the dialogue, attention was paid to important issues such as the preservation of cultural heritage, development of mass media, and freedom of speech, and it was noted that countries can participate together to improve the situation.

It should be reminded that earlier Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Jennifer Klein, Director of the Gender Policy Council of the US President's Administration, and Joe Biden's assistant at the White House.
