Mirziyoyev departs for Europe

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for Brussels today, October 23, on an official visit at the invitation of President of the European Council Antonio Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the presidential press service reported.

During his stay in the Belgian capital, the head of state is scheduled to hold talks with leaders of the European Union to discuss further development and expansion of multifaceted relations.

It is expected that the Agreement on Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union will be signed during the visit.

In addition, meetings are planned with King Philippe of Belgium, as well as representatives of leading European companies and financial institutions.
