President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has voiced his dissatisfaction with certain officials and governors, highlighting their inadequate efforts in cost reduction, provision of high-yielding seeds and seedlings, and implementation of industrial initiatives. These remarks were made during a video conference meeting discussing the utilization of new agricultural resources and priorities for 2024, chaired by the president.

During the session, it was emphasized that given the constraints of land and water resources, agricultural authorities must adopt a fresh approach to their work this year.

Nevertheless, criticism was directed towards officials and governors for their insufficient actions in cost reduction, supply of high-yield seeds and seedlings, and establishment of industrial environments.

The significance of enhancing productivity in cotton and grain production this year was underscored through the distribution of productive seeds to districts and the training of farmers in new agricultural technologies.

Furthermore, the goal of supplying agriculture with 900,000 tons of mineral fertilizers was set, with a target of reducing fertilizer costs by 15%.
