3539On August 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This information was provided by the press service of the President.
"During the discussion, issues of Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation between our countries were addressed," the report stated.
At the beginning of the conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, conveyed the sincere greetings of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It was noted that the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan expressed great satisfaction with the rapid development of bilateral relations. The ongoing active political dialogue and exchanges, the steady growth in mutual trade, and the increasing cooperation among leading enterprises in various sectors of the economy were highlighted.
Regular joint cultural and humanitarian events are being held.
During the conversation, special attention was given to advancing joint projects in the fields of transport, communication, and energy.
It is worth recalling that the previous telephone conversation between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place on July 24, when the National Leader of Turkmenistan sincerely congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him good health and well-being, as well as peace and prosperity to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan. Prior to that, on June 29, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also communicated with Berdimuhamedov by phone and extended birthday congratulations to him.
