20016President Shavkat Mirziyoyev confirmed that Uzbekistan supports the development of cooperation with the EEU. He stated this in a video-conference of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of the EEU on 27 May.
“Uzbekistan continues to develop cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union as an observer. This is very important for us because the EEU countries are our natural partners», - Mirziyoyev said.
Mirziyoyev called on the EEU member countries to remove technical barriers to entering the market.
“The task of creating favorable conditions for the development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EEU, the removal of technical barriers, and the recognition of certification in mutual trade is more important than ever,” President Mirziyoyev said.
The president of Uzbekistan proposed to the EEU to simplify the procedures for attracting the labor force.
“The relevance of the issues related to labor migration and the attraction of specialists is increasingly difficult in our countries. I propose to adopt the necessary documents and introduce simplified procedures that will ensure effective mobilization of labor resources under the rapidly changing needs of the economies of the EEU member-states and observers”, - Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The president of Uzbekistan said that the construction of railways with Kyrgyzstan and China would begin shortly. He also said that Tashkent was ready to cooperate with the EEU in the construction of the Trans-Afghan railway for entry in a short time into the South Asian market.
The president called for the full resumption of relations with the EEU. Mirziyoyev also proposed to hold a forum on the development of tourism in Uzbekistan in the autumn.
In addition, the president of Uzbekistan suggested developing a program of cooperation in the agrarian sphere of the EEU.
