Mirziyoyev receives the heads of Turkish intelligence, MFA, and MIA

3917Today, September 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation comprising Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya, and Director of the National Intelligence Service Ibrahim Kalin, as reported by the President's press service.
At the start of the meeting, the delegation conveyed greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Mirziyoyev.
The discussions focused on urgent issues related to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey and the development of multifaceted cooperation, in line with the agreements reached during President Mirziyoyev's official visit to Turkey on June 6-7 this year.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining regular and systematic contacts and expanding the scope and agenda of negotiations, as outlined in the "road map" adopted during the joint meeting of the heads of ministries and departments of both countries.
The meeting also covered the deepening of political dialogue and promoting trade, economic, and investment cooperation projects. Special attention was given to enhancing inter-agency cooperation and conducting joint activities to address modern security threats and risks.
Additionally, views on current regional cooperation and partnership within international organizations were exchanged.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Chairman of the Security Council, Lieutenant General Abdusalam Azizov, received the Turkish National Intelligence Organization's delegation, led by Ibrahim Kalin.
