The law enforcement and special services of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States should be in constant contact and strengthen cooperation in today's conflict period.  The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about this in his speech at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand.

He emphasized that the reliable provision of security in the region is a priority.

"Recently, the conflicting events in different parts of the world are affecting the general security of the Turkic world.  In such a complex situation, our law enforcement and special services should be in constant contact and strengthen cooperation in the fields of terrorism, extremism, the radicalization of youth, human trafficking, fight against drug trafficking, public and cyber security," says Mirziyoyev.

The leader of Uzbekistan proposed to organize the next meeting of the secretaries of the Security Council of the Organization of Nations in Uzbekistan.

In addition, President Mirziyoyev drew the attention of his colleagues to another urgent issue.

"Today, the complex situation in our neighboring Afghanistan is of course a serious concern for all of us.  The question of changing the current situation in this country in a positive direction should never be lost from our eyes.  "We are in favor of regularly holding dialogues between our foreign ministers to develop a common approach to the Afghan issue," said the head of Uzbekistan.
