President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the multidisciplinary medical center in Tashkent.  This was reported by the Press Service under the President's Administration.

"This clinic can be considered a new stage in the medicine of our country.  Six buildings were built and state-of-the-art facilities were created for the 202-million-dollar project.  The medical technology was designed by a German company," the report said.

The institution has 95 inpatient beds for adults and 33 for children, and a polyclinic designed for 1400 patients.  They will be launched in the coming months.  In general, the medical center will provide services in 50 narrow specialties.

In particular, the center will have 5 surgical rooms for cardiology, angiography, traumatology, neurosurgery, gynecology, and urology.  They will be able to perform 5 thousand high-tech operations per year.  Advanced equipment allows for minimal incisions and quick rehabilitation.

It is noted that the head of state has thoroughly familiarized himself with these conditions.  He gave instructions to officials on turning the center into a base institution in certain areas, improving the qualifications of doctors based on their experience here.

A 120-bed hotel for relatives of patients was also built in the complex.

As a result of the opportunities created for the development of private medicine, the number of private health centers in the country has exceeded 8 thousand.  The medical areas in which they can practice have been expanded from 50 to 129.
